The Old English cutlery pattern was first seen in England in the 1760’s, during the reign of George III.  The design was originally favoured by high society and is still considered one of the most famous Parish cutlery patterns.  The appeal was certainly in the fact that the cutlery was easier to hold than some of the earlier patterns, which were beautiful but slightly impractical!

Old English is stunningly simple yet perfect for any modern or traditional setting.  The pattern is incredibly versatile in that it would suit pretty much any formal or informal setting.

Each piece of stainless steel cutlery is hand crafted by our team of expert bladesmiths.  Knife blades are made from specially hardened steel, which gives a perfectly sharp cutting edge.  This means that blades won’t dull as quickly and there is less need for sharpening or refurbishment (both of which we can complete for you at our factory in Sheffield, should you need us to.)

Stainless steel cutlery provides access to Carrs stunning, timeless patterns with no risk of tarnish or need to polish – perfect for everyday use!  Although our EPNS and Silver cutlery is dishwasher safe, stainless steel will never need polishing and will remain sparkling when used in conjunction with our recommended dishwasher tablets – Fairy Platinum.
